PhD topic and brief description

  • My Ph.D. project aims to utilize properties of high stress materials such as Si3N4 in order to design high quality factor mechanical oscillators that can be used for coherent coupling to optics and ultra-sensitive mass and force sensing. Designing integrable high-Q mechanical resonators can pave the way to optical integration, which will allow room temperature quantum experiments such as ground state cooling.
