PhD topic and brief description

  • My topic is "2D materials with Josephson inductance in Optomechanical systems at microwave frequency". The goal of my project is to develop an optomechanical microwave system that can act as a photon and phonon detector. Inductive modulation of a microwave cavity containing a graphene sheet with proximity induced supercurrents will be employed. Owing to the large influence of Josephson inductance on the cavity frequency, strong optomechanical coupling can be achieved. The supercurrents are tunable by gate voltage and by absorption of energy which leads to both phonon and photon detection, respectively.
