PhD topic and brief description
- Over-reaching goal of my project is to enhance opto-mechanical coupling up to single-photon strong coupling regime using the potential of low mass from 2D material based mechanical resonators. Low mass of 2D material provides us with high resonant frequency and a large zero-point fluctuation, both of which eventually give favorable conditions toward quantum optomechanics: small thermal phonon occupation and strong single-photon coupling.
